Tell us something surprising about yourself.

The most surprising thing about me is that I do a lot of different things at the same time. My interests and skills go in a lot of different directions, and that makes my life inspiring. I really need to do many different things to make and keep me happy!

Last great book you read?

“Taal is echt mijn ding”, (language is my thing) a book by Dutch author Paulien Cornelisse about the different interpretations of language. Since I am going through perimenopause I have noticed that I have difficulty concentrating and therefore I do not often read anymore. Reading short stories is a good solution.

What makes you happy?

My home is my happiness. The peace and regularity that prevail there are my peace. In addition, I also need to drive into the world and have my own agenda. I love to go on an adventure and explore new things, meet new people, and visit cool places. This all together brings me into balance and makes me happy.

What are you most excited about this fall?

Two years ago, I started my own Instagram account, and since then, I have been approached several times by like-minded women and even been asked to work as a model. This big compliment caresses my ego and gives me the power to be who I want to be… a stylish, spontaneous, and pretty older woman over 50. I have always loved to be in the spotlight, and the fact that this becomes a reality in this phase of my life is extra fun. This fall is gaining momentum because more assignments are coming. I embrace it, and I enjoy it. I have no time to lose, and I take every opportunity with both hands.

What’s your fantasy version of your older self?

A fit, stylish, spontaneous, cosmopolitan lady with a good sense of humor. I hope to have more time to satisfy my interests, preferably with my loved ones by my side…

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

I am extremely proud of the birth and raising of my son (18) and my daughter (15). They both became beautiful people.

What’s on your nightstand?

A bottle of argan oil for my face and hands. A crossword puzzle to make my brain crack, my glasses, and a book with short stories before I fall asleep.
