Do you hear me roar? I roar for myself and for all women. Last Monday, I felt the soul-shaking influence of sisterhood here on Instagram, and I realized again what enormous stability this female connection brings.

International Women’s Day is significant to all women, young and old. A global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide. As far as I am concerned, it is always women’s day.

Is there anything more powerful than an outstretched hand of another woman in your direction? For me, there is nothing better than sisterhood. I absolutely love how the women I have in my circle or come across have been hyper-supportive of my journey. I managed to build my tribe, and I believe in the power of cheering for another. I’ve read many articles over the past years about women supporting women; many say that women seem to rather cut down women than help each other. I’ve seen something else with my own eyes. Now more than ever, it feels like women are joining hands and celebrating womanhood.

I think it’s important to stick together. A woman can still radiate and be successful next to someone else’s success. There is plenty of room to shine together without stealing each others light. Even, I also know that many women experience quite the opposite. There seem to be many jalousie feelings between women, not only when we are young but even when we have grown up for a long time. Women can be very bitchy and hypercompetitive and instead focus on forming bonds. I have also been bullied by other women in my life. I’ve learned mostly from that to focus on my own purpose and the “other” group of women. The ones that want to see the best things happen for the women around them, including me.

How to make all women understand that seeing another woman shine makes them shine too? That trying to steal someone else’s light or envy their successes isn’t going to keep the sisterhood circle alive. But how to turn things around? I believe we do that by eliminating negative self-talk and self-doubt and practice radical self-love. When we doubt ourselves and the choices we make, it creates room for envy and greed. By learning to love ourselves and celebrate our own life and purpose, we stop comparing. And when we stop comparing, we can stand in our own light. We are all unique in our own way, we deserve soul-shaking sisterhood and friendships full of celebrating one another every day.
