Tell us about yourself?

My name is Roz Kaur; I’m 54 years old. I’ve been a stylist for the past 27 years. I consider styling an art form. My clothes and how I mix and experiment with them are an extension of who I am on the inside. To me, great style is all about juxtaposition. It’s about exciting layering and proportioning. I’m not into trends .. I’m into timeless pieces. I am not into quantity…I am into quality and cost per wear.

What do you do for work?

I currently work as a senior stylist for @Anthropologie in Sacramento, California. 

You have a fabulous fashion style. Can you tell us about it?

Personal style is about PERSONAL POWER, SELF AWARENESS, AND SELF ACCEPTANCE. You don’t get anywhere in your style if you don’t know who you’re trying to DRESS… It has to be THE TRUEST, MOST AUTHENTIC version of yourself, and once you’re in alignment with that… Then STYLE comes quite easily.

What’s the one thing you most hope for personally in the coming year?

I believe we are in this Golden Renaissance of women and aging! I hope this proves to be a moment for reinvention and introspection. I’m feeling this sense of tremendous invigoration, freedom, and release… I hope it continues to build more steam!

What Would You Tweet to Your Younger Self?

1) Be True to who you are. Just Be Yourself!!! 2) Follow your Passions and work hard because Luck is a preparation meeting opportunity. 3) Remember, you don’t become what you want but what you believe.

Any surprises about getting older?

Omg… There are so many!!! But most importantly, I no longer feel the need for external validation. I’m more self-aware. I try to stay genuine and authentic to myself, so at night, when I go to bed, I know I’ve done the right thing because doing the right thing is moving in the direction of love… Now, after all, that, whoever falls off falls off, and whoever sticks around.
