If you could write a letter to your younger self, what would you write?
This experience awakened something in me. I had a long vivid, and enlightening dream the night after my photoshoot. The next day, I wrote this:
Of course, you have a purpose! In fact, you have many, some of which you have fulfilled already. As for your “highest” purpose, you’re not to know just yet what that is. Your job is now only to learn (at times from painful first-hand experience) and listen inwards – to your body, soul, and intuition.
To make room for Life to do what it does best: teach, prepare you. There’s tremendous risk in all the rushing, pushing, and shoving into making things happen that are not yet meant to happen.
It all distracts you from the learning, the growing, and ultimately, the thriving. It takes away the joy of living in the moment. It replaces learning and growing with anxiety, anger, resentment, and even self-destruction.
In all, you are where you’re supposed to be and who you’re supposed to be.
Trust
Learn
Listen
Seek joy
And
Breathe
Breathe
Breathe
P.S. Don’t forget the things that give you Life and joy, be intentful about keeping those alive. Live with intent as you explore fun; if you don’t know how to find a mentor that will help you do that. You want to be a dancer, find a mentor. You want to travel, find a mentor. You want to play the piano, find a mentor. Don’t try to figure it out on your own; ask for help, guidance, counsel.
What do you do for work?
I have had a writer locked inside me, yearning to write on walls since childhood. I’ll be publishing a children’s book series starting in December, but my tour-de-force has yet to be written. It’s slowly freeing itself of my past unknown beliefs, patiently waiting as I seep into awareness, and all aspects of my Life’s experiences converge.
For now, I have a P.R./Communications business with my husband, but that is the profession Life has chosen for me.
I chose Life Coaching so I could work from anywhere in the world (I intend to exit the U.S. as soon as possible). We’ll see where all of the above takes me! Remember, we don’t have a SINGLE life purpose; it’s totally alright to be many things and do many things. We’re human! We’re multifaceted, and Life gives us many opportunities to show what we can offer.
