Today a shameless selfie because today marks another milestone in my life’s journey, and I couldn’t be happier to become a year older! Happy birthday to me!

I feel truly thankful for another year of life, so I put on my wedding dress (yes, a little tighter than nine years ago…but so what…it still fits…) and asked my hubs to take a picture to honor the occasion. I am 44 years old, and I love it.

As our thoughts impact our energy, and our energy creates our reality, we become what we are thinking… This birthday feels like the perfect moment for reflection and some (new) goal setting for the upcoming year.

When I was younger I experienced mixed feelings before and on my birthdays. But for the past years, I try to set new intentions, so I can start manifesting my wishes.

For this upcoming year, I have a few birthday affirmations.

While being 44, I want to:

1. I choose to focus my attention on the present today, knowing that good meets me wherever I go.

2. practice more self love, because I am whole and complete. Regardless of my age, how I look (or don’t look according to society), and my successes or failures.

3. radiate and attract love, trust, and authenticity (less fake, please).

4. stop taking shit from anyone that is not acting out of love, trust, and authenticity.

5. accept what is and trust in the more excellent plan.

6. Retaining my childhood curiosity, no matter how old I am, 44 is a perfect age to be curious about new things.

7. continue to look after my body, mind, and my soul. I will try to stay in balance, I will eat well, exercise, sleep well, meditate, take deep breaths and do what makes me happy.

8. make new memories every day, no matter how small. I will record them by writing in my journal, take photos (or videos) to remind myself how lucky I am.

9. enjoy getting a year older, wiser and more complete.

10. continue my beautiful journey into aging and inspire women with my project to show them the true beauty of aging.

11. connect to my tribe and have more meaningful, uplifting, and empowering relationships than ever before.

12. be the best mother I can be for my beautiful son.
