Tell us what you’d like us to know about yourself?

My name is Bep; I am a mother and a grandmother. I have 2 amazing daughters and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I have a cat named ‘Zomaar’ which means ‘no reason’ in Dutch. I live by myself, and I really enjoy it.

What’s the worst part of getting older for you?

The rheumatic pain I am having is definitely the worst part of getting older. Oh, and I hate my flag arms?

And what’s the best part of getting older?

I enjoy getting older. It gives me calmness, quietness, and peace of mind.

What is it like to be in your 70’s?

It’s nice to be in my 70’s; I feel very content about being where I am in life. But at times, it is also frightening because of what is still coming to me. It’s a good thing we can’t see into the future.

If you could write your younger self a note, what would you write?

Don’t worry, be happy. Everything will be alright.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

Don’t make me mad.
