After the closet essentials article Dee and I made last month, we thought it would be a great idea to give you the highlight of what she wore in Paris. Based on her style we photographed every look at the most beautiful spots in Paris.
The Trench Coats
The Trench coat is a real closet essential, and it has been a statement piece since 1850. This coat never goes out of style. The great thing is you can wear this somewhat classy coat however you want. Every brand has its own version, fitted or oversized, for women and men. Dee is wearing an oversized model, really cool combined with a hoodie, knitted sweatpants, and Dr. Martens. Adding the glasses shows that there is a way to wear reading glasses and enhance your look.

Dr. Martens
Dee loves these shoes/boots and you will always find a pair of them in her closet. It’s just the right type of shoe for her and that is what gives her look that boyish feel. And she can match them with anything.
Checkered Pants 
Not an easy pattern to wear, and it can look a little dusty if worn wrong. Be careful not to go with a too small or too busy pattern. Dee chooses these high waisted, neat pants in combination with a modern t-shirt. She wears it with boots and accessories like the flower earrings of her grandma to give it that extra pop.

Skirt
A skirt, something you do not see Dee wear a lot. Fortunately, there are exceptions and this is one of them. The fit and oversized feel work well on her body. Model, length, fit are very important … it can either make your skirt look cool or totally outdated. This with an oversized tie-dye sweater and sneakers makes this look comfy and sophisticated. Her earrings (her grandma’s) and the sneakers she is wearing give that nice pop of color and is an easy way to add that extra “oomph” to a dark-colored outfit.

Oversized Men’s Shirt
This is something we’ve talked about before. So easy but such a cool item to wear, and if you don’t have one, go into your husband’s or boyfriend’s closet and grab one of theirs.
The great thing is that a lot of brands are making them for women. The way D wore it in Paris is combined with leather Bermuda shorts, a trend you see everywhere this summer.

The Suit
Must-have of the year! Every woman should have or try one on. These suits are so cool and easy to wear. Dee is wearing a double-breasted, oversized, brick color suit with wide-legged pants. Underneath a white tank top and paired with yellow fluffy Birkenstocks. Like I said, so easy but so cool and you don’t need much more.

Birkenstocks
The same as the Dr. Martens boots, Birkenstocks are always in Dee’s closet and her favorite. This time in a bright yellow color, inserted with fake fur. Birkenstock has many cool colors and models you can get.
