I have always been inspired by interior design. My home is a collection of things I’ve bought new and things I found on markets and thrift stores over the past 25 years, in the Netherlands but mainly during my travels to foreign countries. I love everything from vintage to new found treasures, from self-made to self-bought. Old furniture gets a coat of paint and a new life. I really love to browse fleamarkets or spend hours on websites that sell second-hand and antique items.
Some items end up in the closet only to come out years later because they are suddenly charming again. I have my own personal style, and I love to keep changing and growing my interior, like a personal diary.
The bedroom is my absolute favorite place in this house. We have been living in this house for 5 years now and the most beautiful memories are made in this bedroom. I spent loads of hours here cuddling and snuggling with Finn. The light almost always comes in nicely, except on Dutch dark rainy winter days. But on a day like today, when the sun is shining, it is delightful and the most comfortable place to lay in bed with a book and listen to a beautiful piece of music.
