Tell us what you’d like us to know about yourself;
My name is Saskia; I am a mother of two beautiful queer teens. I have a bubbly personality and, I live my life as if every day is the last one. I am a very social person and a body-positive activist who stands up for everything I believe in.
Tell us about your career?
My career has been a constant one but at the same time also a very dynamic one. I have been flying around the world as a flight attendant for over 23 years, and I still love it very much.
8 years ago, I decided to create my own platform to draw awareness to all the bias still exciting towards fat people. Through my fashion sense, I speak up for all marginalized people.
The lack of diversity and inclusivity in fashion, most certainly across my generation, has led to women and young girls perceiving their bodies, beauty, features, and subsequently their identities as not worthy. In some cases, they sadly wonder what is ‘wrong with them.’ They are constantly fed images by the media and their everyday lives that promote unrealistic beauty standards.
Tell us more about your Instagram mission?
My Instagram bridges the gap between straight and plus size fashion. I hope to set your soul on fire as a motivational and inspirational speaker. My mission is to empower self-confidence, equality, and inclusion through fashion as I share my journey. I believe there’s nothing more beautiful than a woman who unapologetically lives her life in her body.
I cover everything from fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I hope to make everyone feel welcome in my safe space in which I am open to discuss the stuff we all struggle with. I share it all with passion, from burning questions like self-esteem, body positivity, body image to the perfect shade of lipstick.
What are you most proud of?
My children are my everything. As a single mom, it hasn’t always been easy. But everything turned out fine, and I am very proud of them.

How do you stay healthy, both physically and mentally?
Every once in a while, I put my phone aside to disconnect from the world. I love lighting up some candles and read a book or just sleep. But I also love to dance and take long walks. The beach is my favorite place to breathe and find some piece of mind.
Knowing yourself now, what would you tell your 80-year-old-self?
You did your best to leave a footprint in this world. You build bridges, and everything you did was out of love and with love.
What is the first thing you do in the morning to start your day in a positive way?
I don’t really have a particular routine, but my days always start with a long shower. After that, I positively begin my day.
