How are you doing ladies? Isn’t it easy to feel uninspired these days, spending most of your time at home?
To get up in the morning and still get properly dressed in quarantine, it’s hard, right? At the moment it’s so easy to roll out of bed in our pajamas and keep them on all day.
We have been in quarantine for a while now. We are at home a lot, we work from home and the only time we go outside is to do some groceries. But if you like to feel a little bit more put together and stylish, maybe these tips can help you out. I noticed that if I put in a bit more effort, it lifts my spirit. So I get up, dress up, and show up even though the only place I am going is from the bedroom to the living room.
But what should we wear in times like these? How to look good but still feel comfy? I put together some trends that are easy to wear from home but can also be easy to wear once quarantine is over.
When we talk about ‘cozy’ or ‘comfy,’ people think of sweatpants and gym clothes right away. Nothing wrong with that, but how can you make them look elevated on you. Comfortable clothes are often about materials and fabrics if they feel nice and soft on your skin and make it easy to move your body. When you are at home a lot, you don’t want your clothes to be too tight or uncomfortable. But you still want to look good. I put together a few trends that are hot right now.
The oversized Men’s shirt
Every woman needs good basics in her closet, for instance:
- a basic or white t-shirt
- the perfect jeans
- black blazer
- etc.
The good thing about this trend is that it doesn’t even have to be yours.
The oversized men’s shirt! If you don’t own an oversized shirt, dig into your hubby’s closet.
It can be white, striped or colored, as long as it’s a bigger shirt than the one you would normally wear. Combine it with a silk skirt or comfy jeans and loafers, sneakers or flip flops.
The all in 1 color sweatsuit
This is one of my favorites and really trendy at this moment. It’s super comfy and because you wear it all in 1 color it easily looks nice.
Think of sweatsuits in pastel colors and pastels are THE trend colors for this summer.
If you don’t want it to look too messy, wear the more fitted version.
Combine them with nice chunky slippers or sneakers, and you are ready to go from room to room feeling cool and stylish.
Jumpsuit
Quick and easy, but all so effective.
Dare to go bold and choose a nice printed one for instance.
This spring/summer there are so many nice prints, especially the flower prints are amazing!
If you’re not into prints, go for soft denim or just one color.
Maxi dress
She’s here to stay! The maxi dress. Every season there is a type of maxi dress because they are so comfy to wear.
This season they are back with more volume, puffy sleeves, in nice colors and prints.
Be careful because it doesn’t fit all body types and can make you look shorter, sloppy and also look bigger.
If you have a bigger size, wear a belt so you can show more of your waist and give it that stylish look.
The Knitted suit
Another trend, also a suit, is the knitted one.
This trend had to grow on me a little, but I think they look and feel great.
There is one for every body type, with different knits and colors. Wide-legged or with slim fitted pants.
Especially the knits in white and earthy tones, combined with the right accessories, can look so chique.
PJ look
If you are one of those people that love to stay in there pj’s the whole day you can try out the PJ trend.
The idea of this trend really came from the pajama, but they elevated it to a fashion trend and it’s perfect for these quarantine days.
They come in silky, shiny fabrics with beautiful prints and colors.
You can wear them with soft, thick, knitted socks and curl up on the couch with your laptop, work or Netflix.
It’s really nice to ad nice jewelry to this look. It doesn’t need to be much but for instants hoop earrings, small or big.
Printed pants
If you think the PJ look is too much for you you can always wear printed pants and combine them with a white T-shirt.
In that way it looks basic, but because of the print on the pants, it will make this look super chic.
Add some nice sneakers or loafers.
