What is on your nightstand?

An alarm clock radio, one water jug, Wuta chamomile glycerin protective nurturing hand cream by Etos, and (a box) tissues. As well as a fashion or interior design magazine I can read before going to sleep!

What do you see as your biggest achievement?

As a young girl, I started to exercise frequently, now just about 50 years after, I still actively fill my days with sports!

What do you like most about yourself?

My back!!

What do you regret most in life?

I’ve been too open to certain people, who effectively misused me or took advantage of me. This was very often linked to jealousy or envy, such a pity!

Tell me something about your career

I graduated the Academy for Visual Arts Rotterdam within 4 years, cum laude! Subsequently, I intensively worked as a self-employed fashion stylist and sales operative. I started with several different fashion magazines, where after I began to work in prêt-à-porter clothing styling and sales. I made private label collections for various large shopping companies and gave advice regarding the material, fabrics and styling, and manufactured the collections abroad.

Although many of the large shopping companies no longer exist, I truly enjoyed the cooperation with brands and designers such as Mac & Maggie which was the boutique of Peek & Cloppenburg, Lampe, Foxy Fashion which were the boutiques of C&A, V&D, Bijenkorf with at that time, their private labels, and I can go on.

I had a lot of freedom in my work, due to my insight both commercially and technically, I could decide everything by myself. Styling, organizing, and coordinating and sale of all collections, it was an amazing challenge! Up until today, I miss it!!

At the age of 50 I started modelling work, with my grey hair, to encourage older ladies they’re worthy and can still look virtuous, look good! The grey hair currently is quite popular among younger women, many older ladies unfortunately still associate grey hair still with getting old(er). It doesn’t have to be like this. It all depends on your dressing style and make-up use ect.

This community originated from my love for photography, fashion, lifestyle, and consciousness. After I turned 40 I started to miss inspiring websites with coolness and authenticity towards aging.
