Tell us about yourself:
I am Janna, and I live with my husband in Amsterdam. He’s the love of my life, and we’ve been together for 35 years. We have three adult daughters. I consider myself very blessed to have them in my life; I am very grateful! It truly is a gift in life!
I started my Instagram account @timelessstyle.nl two years ago to connect and inspire other women. My mission is to inspire women to be visible over 50 with my fashion style!
There has always been something rebellious in me, and this mission has gotten me blooming again. It’s incredibly refreshing to meet so many like-minded soul sisters thanks to my account and passion, both in real life and online.
What kind of work do you do?
I’ve worked in Mental Health Care for over 30 years, and I am still passionate about my work. Every person, patient, or colleague is unique.

What is the strangest thing about becoming an older woman?
The strangest thing is that a new life is starting! It really feels like a kind of restart… You round up the intense period with family, young children, and sky-high career aspirations. And then there are many possibilities, new people, experiences, chances, and nice things to do with that new free time. And yes, not needed to say, also bad and sad things…
You are very active on Instagram. What is your message?
Be visible! Now that you are older show yourself in your own style. Style is what you wear, your clothes. But style is also your attitude, wrinkles, and silver hair.
What Scares You?
Losing my loved ones. I am not scared of spiders or dogs, I grew up on a farm. 🙂
What is your favorite thing to do when no one is around?
Good question, Dee! I love to be alone once in a while. When I am by myself, I find my personal space again. Because of my profession, I like no talking or listing periods, just looking and seeing.
Current motto?
Keep on dancing in life.
What’s your biological age, and how old do you feel?
I am 60 years old, and it is okay! I hope to reach the average woman age of 85; life has much to offer. Like, for instance, this shoot with you and your team! 🙂
