This is Hülya, I met her through Instagram about 3 years ago, and she was one of the first Bloomers. Last year we took some new pictures. What I love most about Hülya are her untamed wildness, openness, and smile.
Tell us what you’d like us to know about yourself; who is Hülya?
Hülya is a very social and cheerful creature who likes to motivate and empower people with her energy and enthusiasm.
What’s the best and worst part of getting older for you?
The best part is the overall life experience I gain. The older I grow, the more “unfuckwithable” (when you’re truly at peace and in touch with yourself and nothing anyone says or does bothers you and no negativity or drama can touch you) mindset I have.
The worst part of getting older is getting up in the morning and feeling pain in my bones. 😉
Tell us a bit about your Instagram account and mission?
In the first place, I started this account to contact my family and friends. Later on, when the number of followers grew, I noticed that my audience got motivated by me. That gave me a natural good feeling. So I kept posting about my fitness and lifestyle adventure. My goal is to show my followers that you can enjoy the good life (eating and drinking) but have to make concessions for that (training/moving). You just have to find the right BALANCE.
How do you stay healthy? Both physically and mentally?
I walk 15 km every day, together with my dog Cici. Besides that, I go to the gym 4/5 times a week. This gives me both physical and energy lots of energy. Remember that giving energy gives energy.
What is the first thing you do in the morning to start your day positively?
Wash my face with cold water and put some music on. I listen to music from the moment I wake up until I go to bed again.
What’s your fantasy version of your 80-year-old self?
I live at my beach house, enjoying life with my family and friends while drinking Raki, eating cheese and olives, and watching the sun go down.
If you could turn back time, what would you do differently?
Listen to my father. Because he knew it all along. I was just too stubborn to listen and wanted to experience the pain that life is giving us from time to time (bad life experiences) myself, I guess.
What’s your age, and how old do you feel?
49. To be honest, I feel older than I am at this very moment because I’m divorcing my husband after being together for 20 years. But I know that I’m a survivor so ask me this question again in 3 months.
