Meet Diana, she is 54 years old, or young, it’s just how you frame it………..
What do you do for work?
I am a senior lecturer, consultant, and coach at educational master programmes for teachers at universities, like the Master Learning and Innovation. Since I love to inspire other women, I also started an Instagram account (@damkolbe), where you can find posts and stories regarding fashion, lifestyle, travelling, and beauty.
What do you do for play?
I love to walk in nature and visit musea to see contempory or classic art, preferably with my hubby or a friend, so we can talk about the things we observe. I am also very interested in the art of photography. In my spare time I prefer to travel (abroad), to meet other people, food, cultures and to inhale new environments. The energy it gives to me is so worthwhile!
What’s your fantasy version of your older self?
That’s an interesting question! I would love to be a grandmother in future, a granny who radiates that life is fun, that you should be in touch with your own inner sources of energy. But also a granny who bakes applepies and is quietly enjoying her family at a large kitchentable, where every family member is having fun, laughing, sharing and appreciating being together. And a granny who keeps on travelling and appreciating great encounters with beautiful people with conscious souls. Who knows: fantasy could become reality one day.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Singing loudly to a disco song and dancing like a popstar (or at least trying to). Usually when I am alone at our house!
What are you most excited about this fall?
Everything that seems to be coming to me out of my Instagram account. It opened a new world. It opened new perspectives to the world. Whether you like it or not, you can use it as an inspirational platform!
If you had a warning label, what would it be?
Don’t overestimate! I have a broken spine, but sometimes I tend to forget that I cannot do everything. My mind and soul are stronger then my body. The good thing is, that my body warns me when I am too busy, too hasty, too enthusiastic.
What’s on your nightstand?
Hungarian lavender oil (to sleep well), a bottle of water and cuticle cream (to hydrate)
What would you tweet to your younger self?
Enjoy life, make the most out of it, don’t be too serious, don’t step up for everything, make you picks and be gentle to yourself: a mistake is not a fault, it’s just another step towards growth!
Strangest recent middle-of-the-night-thought?
Looking at out children ánd their partners (when we were at a live Game of Thrones music concert together): “Me oh my, I am really getting old! But you know what: I don’t mind!”
Current crush
Pumpkin with feta cheese and continuous crush on my hubby (since we were 16)……..
