Best/worst things about getting older?
The only thing I don’t like about getting older is that there is less time left to do everything I would like to do. I could easily live 10 different lives. Furthermore, I find aging a tremendous liberation as long as I’m independent. I’m not afraid to die; actually inquisitive about the afterlife.
Best book you’ve read in the last year?
The best book I’ve read recently is from Inger Boxsem. “Pretty bad under the circumstances.” A story about burnout and depression. Not a pleasant subject, and luckily I don’t have to deal with this myself. But very well written and with humor. Shows the absurdity of the pressures we have to live under from a social point of view. And what the consequences could be.
Favorite music?
I like music but even more the silence. Luckily my boyfriend is good at picking out music because I’m the worst at remembering names.
Something No One Knows About You?
Been thinking about this for half an hour now, but I don’t know anything. I am always an open book!
How old are you, and how old do you feel?
I’m 50 years old, and I feel like that age. I don’t think that your deep feelings about wishes, dreams, etc., change by getting older. The only thing for me that changed is that I’m no longer in a constant hurry. I love the peace of mind about everything, and now I have more of that.
I want to thank you for being one of your bloomers. You are younger than me but a great inspiration!
