Can you tell us about your view on aging?
I don’t mind getting older. Actually, it’s fun. I notice that I feel comfortable in my skin and radiate that too. I think that more mature women often radiate their own beauty and don’t do so much with trends (like the very dark eyebrows now). It’s just a personal look that strengthens your personality. One woman does this with grey hair and another woman keeps dyeing his hair. Both are beautiful as long as it suits the person you want to be.
What’s your fantasy version of your older self?
There are a lot of beautiful older women. For me, the strength is to grow old timelessly. Don’t let things get out of hand, but always keep an eye on your appearance.
I use good creams but I also eat healthily, sport and don’t drink too much but I really enjoy eating out and a good glass of wine. With this, I have fun in my life and that is what I always want to keep. I am looking forward to seeing my sons grow up and want to become a grandmother by then.
What Scares You?
Actually, nothing scares me. I don’t think about obstacles that easily. Of course, I would be very sorry if one of us would get sick and that with that the fun of life would go away and make way for worries. But actually, I would rather enjoy it now than worry about something that might happen in the future.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I’m proud of my family. My husband, my boys each develop their own personality and I’m proud to have set that up in a well-running company.
What Do you Regret Most?
I don’t regret anything. Life goes the way it does.
What Would You Tweet to Your Younger Self?
Live! Enjoy! Don’t tie yourself up too fast. Explore the world and go on an adventure. Don’t be stopped by parents or other people who see obstacles on the way. I used to be influenced too much by people who wanted to keep my world small. Now I try to let my sons choose for themselves and stimulate them to discover the world.
What’s the one thing you most hope for personally in the coming year?
I like the modeling very much and I want to do some nice assignments this year. But I am quite satisfied with my life. I don’t have to run a marathon or drastically change my life. It’s good the way it is.
How old are you?
I am 51 years old.
